Be Fire Wise - Be Fire Safe ....

Bream Bay has had a number of major fire Incidents this year and following a recent chimney fire at our own home we will be printing a series of
notices in support of our local Bream Bay Volunteer Fire Brigades
 and to promote the message of Fire Safety and Fire prevention
* Sweep chimneys & flues at least once a year
* Inspect flues & chimneys for any defects or maintenance problems
* Never put ashes in a plastic bucket
* Place ash in a metal container away from your house
* Ashes from your fire can take 5 days to cool
* Pour water over hot ashes

SPECIAL HINT .. Signpost your driveway especially in a Rural area
Paint your fence posts white or stack a few boulders at the
driveway entrance also painted white

Bream Bay St John Supporter Scheme
The St John Supporter Scheme is a great way to ensure St John is
there for your community

There are 2 membership options: - Individuals pay $30 a year - Households pay $45 a year,
which covers every person in the household (details must be provided; please read
 Terms and Conditions clause 4).

A benefit of being a member is that the Scheme will cover any part charges incurred for medical emergency ambulance attendance and/or transports, instead of you having to pay them.

Even if you do not think you’ll need us in an emergency, becoming a St John Supporter
helps ensure a range of St John services
will be available in your community.
