Sonshine Print is a Desktop Publishing business operating
from Waipu, Northland in New Zealand.
It came into being in 1992, and has produced and circulated
an advertising magazine in the Bream Bay area since that time.
Called the "Bream Bay Budgeter" for the first 9
years of its existence, the name of the magazine was changed
to 'Bream Bay Trader' in 2002, to align with the web site name.
It has a distinctive pink cover and is a popular directory for
Trades & Services in Bream Bay with other pages dedicated to
Community Notices, For Sales, Real Estate, Work Wanted etc.
In November 2004 the business was purchased from the original
owner Geoff Hobern by Brian and Lyn O'Brien who have lived
in the Bream Bay area for over 18 years. Brian was born
and raised in Auckland and Lyn was raised in Waipu Cove on
the family sheep farm until moving to Auckland for her
University studies where she gained a BA degree. They have
been self employed for over 23 years and have a grown up family and grandchildren
who live in Whangarei, Auckland and Australia.
They and their families enjoy living in the Bream Bay area and
they are passionate about the promotion of local trades and services
folk who operate in a very scenic and historic part of New
Zealand. They continue to promote the "Think Global, Shop
Local concept and continually promote this theme in their 100%
owned local publication.Brian & Lyn continue to be amazed at
the wide range of goods offered for sale by local Householders
who enjoy two Free 12 word adverts per issue and they include
boats, tractors, hay, fishing gear, animals and even peacock
feathers!
Currently there are over 3600 copies of the Bream Bay Trader
distributed throughout the district each fortnight from
Lang Cove, Waipu, Ruakaka, One Tree Point, Portland &
Maungakaramea and the
magazine is printed on Sonshine Print's own Risograph copier.
With the establishment of the new deepwater port at Marsden
Point and the expected growth in industry locally, Sonshine
Print and many other businesses in the area look forward to
a period of steady expansion in the immediate and mid term
future.
The Bream Bay Trader is not the only product of Sonshine Print.

Thanks for checking out website and although there will
always be a number of minor changes in the near future, it is hoped
that it will continue to be a valuable electronic resource for a wide
range of products and services in the Bream Bay area. If you
think we can improve on it, we'd welcome your comments. Thanks
for visiting!
